These terms are between you and [set the legal entity name in Superadmin] ("Lucent", "we"), of [set the registered address in Superadmin]. Using Lucent means accepting them.

What Lucent is

Lucent is a desktop assistant for Windows. With your consent it listens to a call on your own computer, writes down what is said, and suggests things you might say. It is a tool for your own use in your own conversations.

Lucent is not a party to your conversations and does not verify what it suggests. What you say is yours, and so is the responsibility for it. Do not rely on Lucent where being wrong matters — medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.

Recording other people

Recording a conversation is governed by the law where you and the other people are. In most places you must tell them, and in some you must have their agreement. That is your responsibility, not ours. Lucent records nothing until you say yes, every time, and shows plainly when it is listening. Do not use it where you are not permitted to.

Your account

• One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself.
• You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
• Up to three devices on a Pro subscription.
• Tell us at support@lucent.app if you think somebody else is using your account.

Paying

Pro costs ₹400 a month or ₹3,999 a year, charged in advance and including the managed AI allowance described on the pricing page. We are not currently registered for GST, so no tax is charged or shown.

A monthly subscription renews by mandate until cancelled. You may cancel at any time and keep what you have paid for until the period ends. See the refund and cancellation policy.

Prices can change. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before it applies to you.

Fair use of the AI allowance

Your subscription includes a monthly allowance of managed AI, measured in credits and shown in the app. When it runs out you can keep using Lucent with your own provider key at no charge, or buy more credits. We do not cut you off without telling you, and we do not bill you for more than you agreed to.

What you may not do

• Resell Lucent or its AI allowance, or share one account between people.
• Use it to break the law, to deceive somebody about who they are talking to, or to record people you are not permitted to record.
• Attack the service, work around its limits, or pull it apart to rebuild it.

When things go wrong

Lucent is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or always right. Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by cancelling and, if you want, deleting your account from the app. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms, and will say why. If we end your subscription without cause we refund the unused part.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of India, and disputes go to the courts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
